What is Tvea (Door)?
According to wikipedia, a door is a moving structure used to block off, and allow access to, an entrance to or within an enclosed space, such as a building or vehicle. In Khmer Martial Art Trea means entrance for fighting or is called direction for fighting. According to Yutakun Khorm book has been written by hand by grandpa Achaleak, from Mongreusey district, Battambang Province, copied by Mr. Chan Bunthoeun, a coach in Khmer Yutakun Khorm association, from Mongreusey district, Battambang Province confirmed that Yutakun Khmer rules consist of main 12 Treav (Doors). They are around 374 sub rules (Khmer called Me) include Me Bokator, Me Khleong, Me Srob, Me Kun, Me Bork, Me Boeuk, Me Bet, Me Dombong, Me Dav, Me Chombab, Me Preah Atith Tro Meok, Me Eysei Dokdav, Me Phkarsvayrich, Me Teab chhlong Dai, Me SvarBorsKhmum, ME Haknuma thvayPhkar,...etc.
According to Motto of Kun Khmer Boran, There are five structures
- Tvea (Door)
- Kol
- Me Sorm
- Kbach
- Sneath
- As mentioning above, Tvea means the entrance for fighting or called directing for fighting.
- Kol is the limitation of point for fight or how to point a target to fight.
- Me Sorm is the trial before fight, it is similar to military exercises.
- Kbach is inside and outside movement which are created in order to perform effectively.
- Sneat is Kbach which is created to strengthen the whole structure.
